For those who own an Herman Miller Eames Walnut Stool, how do you maintain the hardwood finish?

I have been told that once or twice a year you should oil the stools with preferably a Gunstock Oil.

Many woodworking stores and some firearms stores will still sell you Gunstock oil.

A possible place to find it online woodcraft.com and the Birchwood Casey "Tru-Oil" (Gunstock finish) could work well for the stools.

As a backup choice, Herman Miller suggested using a clear linseed oil as an alternative.

That is exactly what I was going to tell you. I simply contact the original manuafacturer or find their website (if one exists) before doing any cleaning or refurbishing to their items.

When all else fails, I take it to a professional with experience in those items.
